Agrokomplex in Nitra celebrated its 50th anniversary this year, confirming its status as the largest agricultural event in Slovakia. From 3–7 September 2025, more than 92,000 visitors explored the exhibition grounds, including farmers, families, students, experts, and international guests.
The ONE EARTH project was presented by project partner PEDAL Consulting in the innovation-focused exhibition hall. The presentation focused on the project’s main objectives and contribution to European priorities, in particular the Circular Economy Action Plan.
PEDAL Consulting highlighted how ONE EARTH demonstrates the potential of valorising residues of animal origin, including fishbones, scales, feathers, and dairy by-products, into valuable products such as fertilizers, aquaculture feed, cosmetics, and other bio-based applications. By reducing waste and creating new value chains, ONE EARTH contributes to more sustainable food systems and supports new opportunities for local communities and small businesses.
The participation of PEDAL Consulting highlighted the role of European projects in connecting tradition with innovation. Visitors showed strong interest in how circular solutions can improve food security, reduce environmental impacts, and open up business opportunities for Slovak agriculture.
For ONE EARTH, Agrokomplex 2025 was more than an exhibition. It was a platform to:
- raise awareness of the project’s goals,
- connect with stakeholders across agriculture, research, and education,
- confirm that innovation is most impactful when it is understandable and applicable in everyday life.
Agrokomplex once again demonstrated how traditional agriculture can meet future-oriented research. With PEDAL Consulting’s active participation, ONE EARTH was part of this dialogue, bringing Europe’s circular bioeconomy closer to farmers, families, and communities.
